The Creating Kindness Design Team is back for another Blog Hop and it is Designers Choice for November! I have really been wanting to play with the Stamping Foam by Simon Hurley and this was the perfect time to play! I chose to use the Large Snowflakes and Swirls dies and Layering Snowflakes stamps from Hero Arts for today's project. The reason I chose this is because I am anxious to get into the holiday spirit and this card says holiday to me.
I first put the snowflake stamps on my glass mat and heat the foam with my heat gun and pressed down to make the snowflake impression in the foam. I then took three different inks from Catherine Pooler and made a ombre on the foam and then stamped onto a white piece of cardstock. There was still ink left on the foam, so I spritzed it with water and stamped another impression onto a different piece of white cardstock to get a more muted watercolored look. I then took the snowflake stamps and stamped snowflakes slightly off the white image left from the foam print. I then cut them into the rectangle size of the stamp foam, and then mat them with colored cardstock. I then took some colored cardstock and cut out some snowflakes and swirls and painted them with Clear Wink of Stella to add some sparkle. I then glued the swirls with Bearly Art Glue and popped the snowflakes with foam tape. I then stamped the sentiment with Intense Black ink from Hero Arts and cut it out in a rectangle and popped it up with foam tape. I then embossed the card base with a embossing folder, popped the snowflake panel onto the base, and then added some embellishments from Trinity Stamps. I love how this turned out! Please visit all of the blogs and tell everyone hi!!! Next in the blog hop is: https://wp.me/p9Vk0d-3SP Have a great day! |
