First can I say how much I love this tulip stamp from Unity! I mean, WOW! I love it!! Yesterday I showed you how to use the stencil, and today I used the stamp and played with my Copics. My mom's favorite color is red, so I decided to go with red. First, I stamped the tulip image with black Memento ink using my Misti. I then fussy cut the tulips because I wanted to pop the image onto the card panel. I then started coloring the image using Copic colors R59, R46, R35, YG67, YG25, and YG01. After I got the shawdowing the way I wanted it, with lots of layers, I decided to add some background definition. I decided to use a stencil from Catherine Pooler called Just Plaid Slimeline Stencil and used Rockin' Red and Cranberry Fizz inks from Catherine Pooler with a blender brush. I used the Cranberry Fizz on the outer portion of the stencil to add definition. I then heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of scrap black cardstock using Simon Says Stamp white embosssing power and WOW embossing ink using a sentiment from Unity's sunshine and rainbows stamps set. I popped the tulips and sentiment using foam tape. I then glued the card panel onto a 110lb white cardstock card base using Bearly Art glue and added some clear enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs. I love how this card turned out! See you all later this week! Happy Crafting Y'all!
